Tips and Tricks

How to make realistic snow

1. First place a ‘Small LED Light’ and capture it.

2. Then place an ‘Emitter’ and make it emit the ‘Small LED Light’.

3. While you are making the ‘Emitter’ emit the ‘Small LED Light’ shrink it down as much as possible.
Voila! Realistic snow!

Hey everyone!

Here’s some news:

Finally!
Water is coming to LittleBigPlanet hopefully sometime during Christmas week!
How do I know this? Well if you watch LittleBIGPodcast they were in the water beta and now they’re allowed to tell you about it!
(They also had a big debate over whether it was coming out Christmas week or not.)
Also Media Molecule will be coming out with a Pirates of the Caribbean pack relatively soon! (hopefully using water!)

1. First place a ‘Trigger Explosive’.

2. Then place a circle of ‘Basic Cardboard’.

3. Then place a rectangle of ‘Basic Cardboard’ vertically on the side of the ‘Trigger Explosive’.

4. Place two ‘Magnetic Key Switches’ on the rectangle of ‘Basic Cardboard’.

Hey!

I’m going to be putting my levels separate from the community levels,
so that you get more levels to check out every week that I’ve published a level!

News:

LittleBigLand has started a competition called “LBL Crown Competition #2: A LittleBigLand Fairytale”. The idea is that you make a level based on a fairytale (e.g. Snow White, Cinderella, etc.) but you have to put a twist on it LittleBigPlanet style.
(For more info go to www.littlebigland.com)

Community levels to check out this week are:
Test Subject
By: Tactical_Gunner

VERY cool series of levels…
Well done, detailed, fun, moderately difficult, unfortunately suggested for single player… still really cool, make sure you check them all out!

Volcano Survival
By: Jedi_1993

A really fun and challenging survival challenge!

Sub Metropolis
By: hallm3

Interesting series so far… he’s kind of creating an alternate storyline; type in his PSN instead of the level name though, because you have to go through an intro level.

Tips and Tricks

How to make an ‘And’ switch.

1. Place a piece of ‘dark matter’ on the thin layer.
2. Then place a piece of ‘dissolve’ on the same layer.
3. Place another piece if ‘dissolve’ on the same layer.
4. Place two ‘magnetic keys’ on the pieces of ‘dissolve’.
5. Attach the two switches that you’re using to one ‘dissolve’ each.
6. Place a ‘magnetic key’ switch on the ‘dark matter’
Voila! an ‘And’ switch!

Hey everyone!

I’ve decided to try to post an entry every Friday.
(Just so you know.)

News

New costume out: it’s the Hero from Assassin’s Creed II, Ezio Auditore de Firenze!
(Man, that’s a long name!)
Strangely enough that’s it for the news this week.

Community levels to check out this week are:

The Kingdom
By: Cesar_72

Good story…
very well done level, too!

Hulk Bomb Survival Challenge
By: Killer_Sackman (me) & sackgoalie

Again you should check it out and tell me what you think!

The Bunker
By: poms

I know this is a pretty old level…
but it’s a good one!

Tips and Tricks

How to make a ‘permanent switch’

1. Take some ‘dark matter’ and place a small square of it somewhere out of sight.

2. Then place some ‘dissolve’ above the ‘dark matter’.

3. Place a ‘magnetic key switch’ on the ‘dark matter’ and place a ‘magnetic key’ on the ‘dissolve’ and wire up whatever switch you’re using to it. Then connect the ‘permanent switch’ to whatever you want permanently on/off and there you go! A ‘permanent switch’!
