Review #1

Hey everyone!
I decided to post all of my reviews that I do on LittleBigLand.

Hey there all you sack-folk!

Here’s my review of: Sack Villain in Little Big City (3D Neon) By: PrototypicalMind.
I hope you like it!

NOTE: I took out the creator tips for you guys, let me know if you want me to include them and I will.

Description:

"What adventure awaits your Sack Villain?! Take a trip through town, hop from rooftop to rooftop and cause some disaster in this futuristic 3D neon city."

First impressions:

You start out in a small apartment, nothing special, just a bed, a night stand, a large picture on the wall and a button. If you go to the left you discover that you can’t go that way as it is blocked by a door, so you go back and press the button, and, if you were expecting something epic to happen, are sorely disappointed. All that the button does is make the door disappear and you get into an elevator on the other side, no cool secret exit.

First impressions: 3/5

Scenery:

Well, there’s some really nice looking scenery in this level and there’s also some really ugly scenery; for example, the text was really nice and the creator obviously put a lot of effort into it but the background scenery was very disappointing, it was very square and un-imaginative. I was faced with this dilemma all throughout the level – the lamp posts were well done whereas the buildings were very square, I found it rather exasperating. On a lighter note I really liked how they made the score bubbles and lights the same colour as the building that they were on, it improved the overall look of the level.

What!? square and slightly boring scenery!?

Nice text!

Gameplay:

There is some pretty good gameplay in this level; not very creative mind you, but when you’re not running from elevator to elevator you’re shooting the Paintinator or swinging along a zipline. I found the gameplay very fun; I liked the Paintinator parts a lot, but think the creator could’ve spiced things up a bit. So instead of going from a zipline, to a Paintinator section, to an elevator, I would like to see a few more things like the boss fight. I found the boss fight was the most creative part of the whole level. The one thing I don’t understand about the boss fight is why it was a helicopter; why wasn’t it a flying police car or something? I also found the bank robbing part disappointing; I liked how creative it was, but I disliked that you didn’t actually get to rob the bank.

Zipline time!

Story:

Well, you’re definitely a villain, and you’re definitely being chased by the cops but I don’t really know much else about what’s going on; there are a few humorous things, like you live at the “Villain Estates”, but there isn’t a lot of anything going on story-wise.
I kind of wish I could give the story an N/A, but it is there.
